For both figures and Japanese dolls, the face is the lifeblood. Clear parts are used for her transparent white skin, lips and cheeks with a hint of crimson, and her distinctive black twintails. Her white shoulders peeking out from her worn-out shoulders, her ruthless smile while holding her Zafkiel (rifle), are a combination of charm, cuteness, and madness, creating a supreme piece of beauty that hides a chilling beauty. We worked hard to make the costumes have different strengths and weaknesses to express Kurumi’s charm with his whole body. For the kimono she wore, we paid particular attention to the selection of fabric and the gold design. The jacket is colored in black and bright red, inspired by Kurumi, and is made from Kyoto-style yuzen fabric, which has a saaya-shaped ground pattern and cherry blossom and drum patterns in various colors. The black and gold darari obi, which is both beautiful and luxurious, is made from gold brocade fabric sourced from Bando Shoten, a representative textile merchant in Kyoto, with a phoenix circle pattern and an arabesque pattern. Kinran is a traditional textile woven with gold thread, silver thread, and gold and silver leaf.
