Molding color: Black/Brown Description Kar98k is a bolt action rifle that was officially adopted in Germany in 1935. Kar stands for carabiner (carbine) and k stands for kurz (short), and was developed as a shortened version of its predecessor, Gew98. The Gew98’s bolt action mechanism is called the “Mauser action” and has influenced the design of almost all subsequent bolt action guns. The Kar98k, equipped with such an action, ran through WW2 as a highly acclaimed bolt-action rifle, as a result of the combination of shortened length, easy handling, and German industrial technology. This work is a 1/12 scale model that precisely reproduces such Kar98k. You can choose from three types: bolt cocked, uncocked, and open, and you can also choose a long style with a bayonet attached. The molding is color coded in two colors.
