Overall height: approx. 245mm / 195mm only (1/8 scale) Explanation First release: August 2010 Sculptor: Teruyuki (M Field) The fifth installment of the Kotobukiya Strike Witches figure series features Gertrud Barkhorn, who is described as “a chairman type who is strict on himself and others, and a thorough realist.” A brave yet beautiful figure with eyes that stare at the enemy sternly and two heavy weapons, the “General Purpose Machine Gun MG42” and the “Type 99 Type 2 Type 2 Modified 13mm Machine Gun.” The Barkhorn’s attractive features, such as its charming hanging dog ears and cute tail, which contrast with these, have been faithfully recreated as a figure. The shirt, which features a ribbon on the chest and hem that flutters in the wind, has been recreated down to the smallest detail, including the rank insignia on the collar and shoulders. Please enjoy the appearance of the “captain” who can be relied upon as Captain Wilke’s adjutant. The striker unit is “Fw190D-6 prototype”. The markings on the sides and the red and white lines at the tip are reproduced using tampo printing. A common gimmick in the series is that the propeller is interchangeable when rotating and when it is stationary.
